These days, everyone has to be careful about privacy and security. I understand completely. As a free software developer, I can understand users being worried about things like spyware and adware, which many developers choose to use in order to make money off of otherwise good, free applications. I can personally assure you that no application or file on this website falls under the category of malware. All the files are tested by Anti-Virus applications and examined in a clean environment to ensure that no malicious code exists in any form.

For personal security, it is recommended all computers be equipped with a personal virus scanner. RealityRipple Software recommends the free versions of Avira or AVG Anti-Virus software, as well as a router with a built in firewall or a personal firewall of some make. The security of your computer is your responsibility, however, and no guarantee is made that these recommendations will be sufficient protection.

I can guarantee, though, that this website will not be the source of any malicious intent so long as I am the owner of it. The following methods are used prior to uploading a new application or updated file to this website:

• The compiled executable, library, or file (all types) is scanned with Avira Anti-Vir.
• The file is then placed in a VM and run as normal under normal conditions. The actions of the application are examined closely through the Windows Task Manager and Resource Monitor applications. The virtual system is thoroughly checked for any changes that may be considered harmful, and any unusual actions are investigated in depth.
• As the last step by me, the file is optionally Digitally Signed to ensure that it will not be modified along the way between my computer and yours. You may want to read more about Digital Signatures.
• For a third-party test, most files are then scanned by a third-party download site or Anti-Virus company, such as DownloadRoute, DownloadAtlas, Softpedia, or a mix of the three. Other scans are often run on programs on this site as well.
