macOS Snow Leopard Setup Assistance

Back to macOS Version Selection

Download and open "SRT_Setup.dmg", then drag "Satellite Restriction Tracker" into the "Utilities" folder. Then eject the SRT installer and delete the SRT DMG file.
Open "Applications", click on "Utilities", and then click on "Satellite Restriction Tracker".
Snow Leopard will warn you that Satellite Restriction Tracker was downloaded from the internet. Click "Open".
If Mono is not installed, Satellite Restriction Tracker will prompt you to download Mono 3.0.10. Click "Download..." to begin the download.
When the Mono framework DMG has finished downloading, run the package inside to begin the Mono installation process.
Follow the instructions on the screen to install Mono on Snow Leopard.
When prompted, enter your Name and Password to allow the installation of Mono.
After the installation of Mono is complete, click "Close", then eject the Mono installer and delete the Mono DMG file.
Next, it's time to install X11. Do you have your macOS Snow Leopard Installation Disc?
Insert your macOS Snow Leopard Installation Disc and open the "Optional Installs" folder.
Run the "Optional Installs.mpkg" installer to begin the installer for optional packages. Follow the instructions on the screen until you get to the package list.
When the list of packages is shown, open the "Applications" header and check the box next to "X11", then click "Continue".
When prompted, enter your Name and Password to allow the installation of X11.
After the installation of X11 is complete, click "Close" and then eject the Installation Disc.
Go to XQuartz.org and click the link to download "XQuartz-2.7.11.dmg". If 2.7.11 is not shown on the home page, go to the Releases page and choose 2.7.11 from the list to find the download link.
Change the address to HTTP and hit Return to allow the download on classic Safari.
When the XQuartz DMG has finished downloading, run the package inside to begin the XQuartz installation process.
When prompted, enter your Name and Password to allow the installation of XQuartz.
Note the warning about setting XQuartz to the default X11 server and click "OK" to finish the installation.
After the installation of XQuartz is complete, click "Close", then eject the XQuartz installer and delete the XQuartz DMG file.
Log out of macOS and log back in to enable XQuartz.
Open "Applications", click on "Utilities", and then click on "Satellite Restriction Tracker". The application should now start.
